Book Review: 'Timeless Trinity: An Extra-Terrestrial and Paranormal Personal History' by Bruce Solheim (Illustrated by) Gary Dumm (Foreword by) Yvonne Smith

Timeless Trinity by Bruce Solheim

‘The unbelievable will happen if you believe it’

California author Bruce Olav Solheim, after serving in the US Army as a jail guard and later as a helicopter pilot, earned his PhD in history from Bowling Green State University and is currently a distinguished professor of history at Citrus College in Glendora, California. He also served as a Fulbright professor in 2003 at the University of Tromsø in northern Norway. Bruce founded the Veterans Program at Citrus College and cofounded, with Manuel Martinez and Ginger De Villa-Rose, the Boots to Books transition course—the first college course in the United States designed specifically for recently returned veterans. Bruce published his first book in this series in TIMELESS: A PARANORMAL PERSONAL HISTORY, followed by TIMELESS DÉJÀ VU, and now TIMELESS TRINITY. His other books include ALI’S BEES, MAKING HISTORY, THE VIETNAM WAR ERA, WOMEN IN POWER, THE NORDIC NEXUS and ON TOP OF THE WORLD.

Setting a fine tone for the book to follow, Bruce addresses the reader in an entertaining Prologue: “Dr Solheim has been abducted by aliens several times and talks to dead people”…Although I’m no hero, I’ll admit that it was risky for me as an academic to publish paranormal books. I suppose critics could say that my first Timeless book was the work of an eccentric professor nearing retirement. Timeless Déjà vu, on the other hand, might have given them a reason for concern, while this third book, may prove that I’m certifiable and should be locked up or silenced through some kind of academic fatwa….My message is simple: Live forever and be the light, There is no reason to fear death because we’re timeless, and love is the most important force in the universe, and it’s forever. I’ve come to embrace having psychic medium abilities fully. One of the first things I learned was that it’s not about being right or wrong; it’s about helping – that is the first rule of mediumship…Timeless Trinity is aptly named because it’s the most spiritual book in the Timeless trilogy, referring to the Christian Godhead, and explores the three realities postulated by physicist David Bohm. In addition to my paranormal personal history, I’ll offer you…direct communication that I’ve received from the spirit world and from extra-terrestrials that may be of some comfort.’

Within the pages of this fascinating book cum journal, Bruce tiptoes into the realm of alien life, the visits from ‘out there’ to this planet – to Bruce Solheim. Aided by the illustrations of artist Gary Dumm, his experiences range from the year 1964 to the present, and it is his polished skill of communicating ‘scientifically’ (complete with quotes from important voices) as well as ‘paranormally’ that suffuses the veracity of his prose. He invites the reader into the ‘unknown’ and is able to bring belief, and acceptance, of his myriad possibilities, realizing that the spirit world, the alien world, and the quantum world are all the same. This is a very fine exploration of a more expansive ‘reality.’ It is bracing, challenging - and reassuring!
