Cotto/Gottfried: Harvey Milk and Jim Jones: A hidden story explained by Daniel J. Flynn

When one thinks of Harvey Milk, the first openly gay candidate elected to public office (a seat on San Francisco's supervisors' board), chances are that Jim Jones, modern America's most notorious cult leader, does not come to mind. Perhaps he should, though. Daniel J. Flynn, senior editor at 'The American Spectator,' recently wrote a book about the extensive political relationship between Milk and Jones -- 'Cult City: Harvey Milk, Jim Jones, and 10 Days That Shook San Francisco.' On this week's episode of 'Cotto/Gottfried,' Flynn explains what he discovered and why it is so important for American political history.
