'Cotto/Gottfried': How can being 'Aware' improve your life? Daniel J. Siegel explains.
For most folks, being aware of something probably means nothing more than to notice it. Daniel J. Siegel, a clinical psychiatry professor at UCLA, has a far more intricate, wide-ranging answer, though. His most recent book, the bestseller 'Aware: The Science and Practice of Presence--The Groundbreaking Meditation Practice,' seeks to -- in its words -- "practical instruction for mastering the Wheel of Awareness, a life-changing tool for cultivating more focus, presence, and peace in one's day-to-day life." On this week's episode of 'Cotto/Gottfried,' Dr. Siegel explains how his book and life philosophy can help people live more beneficially.
