Book Review: 'STOP SMILE BREATHE BE' by Brian Marc Zimberg

Brian Marc Zimberg is an inspirational speaker and a preeminent expert in modern Meditation, Mindfulness, and Modern Enlightenment . He is the creator of the revolutionary program Access Points - The Modern-Life Meditation Plan, teaching people how to “get out of their minds” and experience the inner-peace of meditation available in any moment. His progressive teaching is pioneering in its approach to deliver all the benefits of traditional meditation while matching the fast pace of today’s hectic lifestyle. Brian is both the executive producer and star of the online show Awake Life, offering keen insights into an ever deeper awakening to your “True-OneSelf” and living life as the greatest expression of YOU!

Meditation – a misunderstood exceptionally valuable means toward good health and peaceful happiness. Brian understands all aspects of meditation: he also understands that propensity of most of us to put such moments aside when pressures and workload increases – factors that crowd out the important aspects of keeping focused and tend to make us disregard the importance of ‘healing’ that meditation brings.

In Brian’s words, ‘Stop Smile Breathe Be pretty much sums up the four basic steps of SSBB. The first step is STOP. That means that whatever you’re doing, you’re going to hit the pause button. Pause all that you are doing for a moment. …The second step is SMILE. Just as you might guess, this means to put a SMILE on your face. The act of smiling, even if you don’t feel like it, is very beneficial. This physical act produces lots of positive changes in your physical and mental physiology…. The third step is to BREATHE. With your attention on your BREATH, draw in a deep, long, and steady BREATH through your nose. As you do this, allow your attention to really follow the BREATH. And then the fourth step is to BE. You don’t have to do BEING. A clear sense of BEING will naturally arrive after the breath. For a few moments...simply BE…. In this, you will have access to the meditative moment - Oneness - your True-OneSelf. STOP - pause everything. Then instantly... SMILE - Really SMILE. A big SMILE. Put your full attention on that beautiful SMILE. BREATHE - Put your full attention on following the breath in, then EXHALE. BE - Stay there for 10 seconds.’

It sounds easy because with Brian’s coaching and encouragement it IS easy. Welcome to Oneness - you’ve learned to meditate with ease in a couple of minutes! Very worthwhile book. Grady Harp, November 16
