Book Review: 'Myths & Magic' by Kerry Adrienne

To remain in a stable mindset at this point in time, avoid the newspaper, avoid television talk shows and newscasts, stay off the freeways, silence the cell phone, keep social media on ‘blocked’ mode – and instead read this collection of stories. Yes, it is an escape form reality, but is that so bad right now?

All kidding aside, for pure entertainment that stimulates thought while it tickles your fantasy mindset grab this science fiction/fantasy collection – MYTHS & MAGIC. Here are 21 novellas written by some of the more creative writers of the genre who take us on a spin beyond the galaxy and beyond possibility and mold all that into very fine reading.

The contributors are Kerry Adrienne, Bec McMaster, L.B. Gilbert, Jade Kerrion, Anne Renwick, Lisa Lace, Izzy Shows, Michelle Hercules, Melle Amade, Michael Trozzo, Lily Thorn, Ilana Waters, Erin Richards, R. E. Vance, Cheri Schmidt, Tristan Hunt, CC Dragon, Bradon Nave, D.A. Roach, Katalina Leon, Boone Brux, and Eric Padilla.

Choose a favorite or just keep tripping through the fantasies and in no time everything just smoothes out. This Colleton makes a fine gift/recommendation to those who have not tasted this palette. Grady Harp, August 17
