Book Review: 'Allan Spiers 2018' by Allan Spiers

Allan Spiers was born in Lima, Peru, moved to the U.S. with his mother when he was 13 years old, attended high school in California, then moved to Florida, where he acquired a job as a graphic artist. He witnessed his hobby of designing advertisements and web pages turn into an art form of its own. He determined it was time to finally make his hobby into a business. That's when he founded his graphic design company Digital Fuel Studios, Inc. Since 1997, Spiers has had the privilege to have worked with over 700 clients and worked on over 10,000 projects worldwide. After years of admiring most of the stock photography used during his career, he decided to challenge his artistic abilities and began to explore the world of photography. Spiers started his professional photography business in 2001 and quickly showed the ability to capture his subject's inner beauty and emotion. He now lives in Chicago as a well-established photographer.

Spiers’ history as a graphic artist shows clearly in his compositions of his richly vibrant color photography. Granted he has uncovered twelve spectacularly sculpted models who serve as the focal point of each month’s elected representative. The men are all gym-cultured models of first-rate status and there is no frontal nudity, which makes this calendar appropriate for home or office – or any place inspiration for keeping that gym/trainer/physical fitness center appointment in mind.

The settings are natural and enhanced by the personalities of the hunky models Piers has selected to make the months pass…or remain as saved mementoes! Grady Harp, August 17
