My First Home: A step-by-step guide to achieving the ultimate American Dream

Review  by Rebecca Johnson

For years Shashank Shekar has been helping first-time home buyers to purchase a home. In this book he makes the process of buying easier and explains how people can buy a house with less of a down payment than you'd expect. He also explains how to increase your net worth through buying a house and how to save money on utilities.

The book begins with some surprising facts about home ownership and explains the steps you will need to follow to finally purchase a home. Then there is detailed information to guide you through each step. What I really liked was the list of the types of houses you may want to avoid.

This book has much needed cautions, tips and tricks. The advice is sound and I think you can't afford not to read this very detailed and helpful book. The grammar and editing are also great.
