The Light in the Heart: Inspirational Thoughts for Living Your Best Life
By Roy T. Bennett
Review by Rebecca Johnson
Recently when reading a book of quotes, I noticed that this author was being featured quite a bit. Everything he was saying made complete sense and was compelling. So I asked myself: "Who is this person and what else do they have to say?" Well this is the book that was extensively quoted. What is lovely about this book is it has so many pictures with quotes on them. I imagine this must look really good in color but I'm reading on an older kindle. Still I could tell the pictures are really beautiful.
Some of the advice in this book includes statements like: "be grateful for what you already have," and "optimism is a choice." Basically this is a book of wisdom. If you have a strong conviction that it is a good thing to be kind and loving, you will adore this book.
The only thing I didn't totally agree with was the statement that time doesn't help to heal emotional pain. I think it does because time helps us let go little by little until only happiness remains.
To be honest, this book is full of reminders of how we can be our best selves. Read this book and take it to heart. You will be wiser in minutes, instead of years.
